Yes! I am Still Around!

Yes, I am still here!

I have been too quiet for so long, I bet you thought that I had packed up and moved somewhere across the world.

No! That is not like me at all. Yes, there are some things that go on here in the UK that I am unhappy about; but would I pack up and leave - NO! No way!

So, now that I am back, what have I got to tell you - precious little, actually. My life is very tame.

Nevertheless, I watch things and I am delighted that Team GB did so well at the Olympic Games. They were Brilliant!! A Big Well Done to them all. They all worked so hard to get there and did great on the day.

Rather Hectic Happenings!

Things have been rather hectic  at the moment and that is putting it mildly!

On 4th July, Phil and set off to Nidd Hall, a lovely hotel near Harrogate. We were both looking forward to a restful week, however it turned into a nightmare. Phil took ill at around 10pm on the second day and he was rushed to Harrogate Hospital. I won't go into all the details, but he seems to have had a mini stroke. He was totally out of it for three days and when he did come around, he was very weak.

He was still in the hospital when we were due to leave Nidd Hall, but thankfully, I was able to get another room there for a fews days, (the one I was in was spoken for) before I had to move again. Anyway, he was in Harrogate hospital for almost another week before they felt it safe to transfer him to our local hospital here in the Scottish Borders, where he spent another ten days.

Thankfully, Phil is home now, but he has lost some of his memory and his vision is slightly blurred, I guess it will take time for him to get some of his life back together again.

Strange Happenings

Now that things are slightly normal I am going to try to get back to my novel, Murder on Tyneside, though I have to say some of the enthusiasm has gone.
